At Teldon, we believe transformation is possible when people come together to work towards a common goal. That’s why we established the Teldon Community Foundation (TCF). Though the TCF, we’re doing everything in our power to make the world a better place by inspiring hope, transforming communities and realizing dreams, one relationship at a time.
Our partnerships with charities across North America and Internationally connect our people with communities in need. Lack of education, food, shelter, clothing and clean water; abuse, addiction, mental and physical afflictions... these are all things that don’t have to exist, and through the TCF, we’re working together to change them.
The Teldon Community Foundation’s (TCF) international work is focused on the town of Bulembu, Swaziland in Africa; a small town facing immense social challenges. Through the TCF, we’re working to help the Bulembu team reach their vision of a self-sustainable and empowered Bulembu by 2020. When this vision becomes a reality, the community’s 2,000 orphans will have caring homes and 3,000 people will have profitable jobs.
Since 2006, we’ve watched Bulembu grow from a population of 100 to 2,400 and seen the establishment of several macro-enterprises, including Bulembu Timber, Bulembu Honey, Bulembu Water and the Bulembu Country Lodge. While it may ‘take a village to raise a child’, we believe that it takes passionate people to help raise a village.
The TCF is not an add-on to our business. It is an extension of our values.
